We do'nt have a washing machine, barely a water pump. So I´ll do it in the old way – with a washboard. Did I say that I have to boil all the water to the right temperature, that is so I can put my hands in the wash-tub. So no barking about colours. How ever it a quite peaceful occupy.
A recycled clothes hanger with bag my serve as a clothespeg collecter
Last years garden project has given us results. Flowers and herbs we thought would die during the moving, is now in blossom. There are still some plants to go in soil.
I love the mauve colour of chive and sage. And they grow like weeds. My device about flowers - the more the better.
The withered wild tulips. Plainness. But now there are fresh sweet-smelling jasmine in the vase.
Midsummer feast at friend´s with dance and some pics from me and Maria's kid free tour. She and her family visit us on Gotland. We took things easy throughout the weekend, a lot of reading old magazines in the outdoor sofa. All of work delivered, no internet and a non-working-in-the-country-cellphone (bad phone company). I guess this is the start of my summer holiday.
Midsummer feast at friend's home. Whom are about to rebuild and renovate there studio/smithy to a new home to live in, still with working area. There intention is to preserve the old barn, the details and the beautiful windows.
The best buy at an auction. A baby doll pram from the 70th.
A pic-nic to the Moderna Museum garden and a fika together with this beautiful maid. Sculpture by Picasso's Déjeuner sur I'herbe (Frukost i det gröna / Breakfast in the Green) from 1962. Originally painted by Édouard Manet.
Today we visit Ingela P Arrenius at her new studio in Gamal Enskede "Kollektivet Handelsvägen 26". A 10 minutes ride with the sub outside the city and during a nice walk to the studio we passed old houses and gardens, a groovy bakery and a vintage's shop. Already looking forward to our next lunch date with Ingela, Cattis and Eva and the rest...
My vintage's finding today, a wooden merry-go-round.
Even though the summer just started this delicious "Goodbye to Summer" plum and almond tart would make the day. Vistit Cannelle et Vanille´s blog for the recipe.
